E. LING URREGO

Ling is a seasoned litigation attorney, who is well versed in versatile civil litigation. Her practice focuses on complex civil, Insurance, and real estate matters as well as civil appeals. She enjoys advocating and counseling her clients on complex legal issues at both the trial and appellate levels. She has achieved satisfactory results for her clients through trials, appeals and alternative dispute resolution. Ling is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and admitted before the U.S. District Court of Southern District of Texas and the U.S. Fifth Circuit. Ling is also a certified mediator and ad litem in the State of Texas. 

Before her private practice, Ling served as a judicial clerk for a Harris County District Judge for several years. Courts have appointed Ling to serve as guardian ad litems in personal injury cases and probate proceedings. 

Throughout her private practice, Ling routinely represented both domestic and international clients in complex commercial litigation, civil appeals and eminent domain proceedings. Ling worked with individuals and corporate clients, among others, in oil and gas, engineering, technology, real estate, construction and medicine. 

Ling worked as the senior litigation counsel for a boutique business litigation firm, handling matters in commercial and business disputes, real estate, corporate governance and fiduciary litigation. Prior to joining GKBK, Ling worked as the senior associate attorney for a Houston firm, representing clients in premises liability, personal injury, real estate transactions and litigation matters, and property owners in eminent domain proceedings. 

At GKBK, Ling is committed to serving her clients in commercial litigation, personal injury, oil and gas, real estate, eminent domain, construction and insurance law. 

Ling received her B.A. in English in China and pursued her graduate studies in Applied Linguistics. Ling obtained a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. Ling is a native of China and considers the Woodlands her home. Ling is deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life in her community, and supports many community and charitable initiatives. In her spare time, Ling enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and enjoys outdoors and travels.
